This is a modified version of Andreas Thomä's "Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Ice Cream".
If you like Aperol, you will definitely get your money's worth here. The Aperol/Spritz variant is too strong for me, so I prefer the wildberry.
For me it tastes super delicious.. like blood grapefruit, i.e. slightly sour with a fine tart note.
Very creamy and the melt is mega.
So let yourself be surprised by a summer classic in the form of ice cream :o)
Mix all dry ingredients
Mix the Aperol mix, cremosa and dry ingredients together at the highest level for 2 minutes.
Place the base in the fridge to rest for approx. 1 hour (longer is also possible).
Just before I put the mixture in the ice cream maker, I mix everything up again. It doesn't matter whether you do it with a stand mixer, hand mixer or simply with the help of a spoon.
Freeze the ice with an ice cream maker or the hand method.
