Mix melted butter with whole cane sugar until smooth, add spices and sea salt
Then stir in the soy milk
Finally, sift in the flour and mix to form a smooth batter
Let the dough rest for 30-40 minutes
Preheat the waffle iron well and grease it with some butter (I always use a pastry brush for this)
Put a small amount of batter in the middle of the iron, close and press the lid down well, then the waffles will be nice and thin
I baked in the Tefal Snack collection, plate no. 7, for about 1:50 min. - 2:10 min. (best to observe the first time)
Remove the finished waffle from the iron with a silicone spatula (or similar) and immediately roll up into rolls
You don't have to roll, you can also leave it flat
You have to be quick when rolling them up, as the waffles will harden as they cool and can no longer be shaped
The batter was enough for me for 51 waffles
Whole cane sugar should not be exchanged for normal sugar, as it has a nice caramel-like taste that gives the waffles their typical taste
You can also use a cone iron (such as Cloer's) if you want to use the batter for ice cream cones
You can also use other spices for the dough, e.g. B. Pinch of cinnamon and/or vanilla
Shape the baked waffle quickly into croissants/cones, as these will harden as they cool and can no longer be shaped
You can also use it to make ice cream bowls
