Today I'm having Grandma's chocolate pudding ice cream! I love beautiful, delicious, homemade chocolate pudding. I never dreamed I'd be able to enjoy this treat in ice cream. Chocolate ice cream is not one of my favorites. Nevertheless, I like to eat a scoop of chocolate ice cream every now and then, but then I have to feel like it. On the other hand, I could always eat chocolate pudding. This chocolate pudding ice cream, however, combines pudding with ice cream enjoyment. One thing is certain, this ice cream will now be next to ours Cookie ice creamto be found regularly in our freezer.

It was all pure coincidence

As with so many culinary delights, this Grandma's Chocolate Pudding Ice Cream was a pure accidental discovery. I actually just wanted to test how sweetened condensed milk would blend with chocolate ice cream. However, I was completely amazed by the result. Not only did the ice cream turn out well and was wonderfully creamy, but it also tasted just like Grandma's chocolate pudding.

In order not to have a long preparation time, I decided to combine the ice cream with the Chocolate ice cream paste from our Ice cream ingredients shop close. It is of course also conceivable that it is made with cocoa. But then it has to be pasteurized to at least 85 ° C. I can't say whether it will taste like chocolate pudding with cocoa, because I haven't tried that. But for those who prefer to use cocoa, I have also written an ice cream recipe with cocoa for you. My recommendation However, it is definitely the version with the chocolate ice cream paste, because that makes it an absolute grandma's chocolate pudding ice cream.

80 g Perfecto-More
20 g Eis-Perfecto
15 g Bindemittel-Perfecto
600 g milk 3,5%
80 g Movito chocolate ice cream paste
160 g sweetened condensed milk
45 g cream 30%
pinch of salt

70 g Perfecto-More
45 g Eis-Perfecto
15 g Bindemittel-Perfecto
570 g milk 3,5%

Preparation

Step 1:
Mix all dry ingredients.
Step 2:
Mix the milk, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate ice cream and the dry ingredients and mix everything together on the highest level for 2 minutes.
Step 3:
Now add the cream and mix again briefly.
Step 4:
If you make the variant with cocoa, you now have to briefly boil the ice cream mix to 85 ° C, stirring constantly, and then cool it down in a water bath. If you are using the chocolate ice cream paste, this is the step not necessary!
Step 5:
Let the mix mature in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes.
Step 6:
Now freeze the ice with an ice cream maker or the hand method.
