Rum grape nut nut chocolate ice cream, doesn't that sound delicious?

I think so, because I'm an absolute grape-nut-chocolate fan. As a child, I always loved grape nut chocolate. And when my dear mum brought me a grape-nut chocolate from the grocery store, that was always the highlight of the day. Yes, of the day, because the chocolate didn't last much longer. Even today, when I reminisce about my childhood, I see the delicious bar of chocolate in front of me and my mouth is watering. Even today I love the rum-grape-nut chocolate. I find this taste component simply successful. So I figured, given that childhood memory, why not make a delicious ice cream.

Ice cream with a nice note of rum, roasted hazelnuts and raisins

Tata and here it is. In order to get the nice rum note, I decided to add some of our Malaga ice cream paste gain weight. Alternatively, you can season the whole thing with rum flavoring. Detailed instructions on how to vary can be found below in the recipe.

To get that great grape nut taste, I used ours Bacio Variegato used, which includes roasted hazelnuts and delicious rum or Malaga raisins. Alternative to that Variegato, you can also add the roasted hazelnuts to the ice cream. But I recommend you do this Variegato to use because with the Variegato it simply tastes rounder and more intense and, above all, more chocolaty. Instead of rum raisins, you can also have our Malaga raisins fall back on.

Other alternatives for ice cream

As a basis for the chocolate ice cream I have 2 variants for you. In the first variant - if it has to be quick - I take ours Chocolate ice cream paste. In the second variant, cocoa is used, but it has to be heated and pasteurized so that the cocoa can develop its full aroma.

No matter what you decide, I find both variants very tasty and aromatic.

A great ice cream treat.
