Plombir ice cream – My new vanilla experiment

This ice cream was requested by a friend of mine who remembers it from his childhood in Russia. Basically it's a simple one Milk and cream ice cream with a hint of vanilla flavor, served in a waffle. I found out that it is an older ice cream, originally from France rather than Russia. It's been around for a relatively long time and is considered a classic, possibly even the first ice cream or something like that. The waffle pieces are also important for the flavor component, giving the ice cream its characteristic waffle taste. Overall, it's a nice, quick to prepare and very tasty ice cream.

We use our premium vanilla paste in this ice cream because it comes close to the basic taste of the original Plombir ice cream. Alternatively, you can of course also use other vanilla essence or another vanilla paste. However, there can really only be a hint of vanilla. This ice cream base can also be used wonderfully for other ice cream creations and can be varied and refined with different toppings.

Characteristic: wafer pieces

To give my Plombir ice cream the characteristic waffle flavor, I added pieces of waffle. This idea came to me when I was thinking about how well the crispy texture of the waffles would pair with the creamy smoothness of the ice cream. It's a tribute to the classic ice cream in a cone, where the components come together harmoniously.

The result: As tasty as the original

The result was sensational! The wafer pieces not only provided the expected crunch, but also visually enhanced the ice cream. Each scoop offers the perfect balance of creamy vanilla and buttery, sweet wafer. It was exactly what I was hoping for and maybe even a little better.

And finally ...

This Plombir ice cream is more than just a sweet whim; it is the result of real passion and joy of experimentation. I'm so proud of this creation that I can't wait until the next time I make this one Make ice yourself become. Whether as a special treat after a nice dinner or as a highlight at a family gathering, this ice cream is definitely something you have to try.
