Delicious winter plums Variegato Recipe for ice cream. That Variegato also goes very well to refine a natural yoghurt and rice pudding.
For the Variegato do you need the vanilla paste:

Mix all dry ingredients and bring to the boil together with red wine and lemon juice for approx. 1-2 minutes.
Then add the plums to the boil and simmer gently for 8-10 minutes on a low heat.
Season to taste with cinnamon and cloves.
Then stir in the rum and pour it into preserving jars while still hot and close.
The Variegato should pull through overnight.
