For the Variegato Challenge, I had a spontaneous idea at the end. I had to process my Sicilian oranges and thought that goes perfectly with Grand Manier.
fine Italian orange juice meets delicate Caribbean bitter orange liqueur. Ideal with a fine milk / cream ice cream like Fior di Latte or on a creamy chocolate ice cream.
Wash and squeeze organic oranges. I dry the oranges beforehand and peel them with a potato peeler or rub the peel and collect everything in a container. I think it's a shame to dispose of the fragrant organic bowl. That will continue to be used.
Juice with sugar, Variegato Bring the powder and sugar to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes. ATTENTION Do not add the liqueur yet.
Let the juice mixture cool down a bit and then add the liqueur.
Either that Variegato Mix directly into the ice before it goes into the freezer, or simply pour it on top of the ball of ice.
I think it goes well with a creamy milk / cream ice cream.
